SCWD capped off its 46th anniversary on Feb. 15 by giving back to the community through the donation of 125 food packs worth Php 1,000.00 each to 125 indigent families, barangay tanods, barangay health workers and members of the barangay pastoral council of Brgy. Macabog.

The SCWD Board and Management, together with partners from Abejo Waters Corp. and PrimeWater-Sorsogon City, handed out the food packs to representatives of the beneficiaries at the Macabog Covered Court while strictly observing minimum health protocols such as physical distancing, wearing of face masks and frequent hand hygiene.

SCWD IGM Tejada, in his message, lauded the barangay council and community of Macabog for the sustained support to SCWD and partners as host of the various SCWD water facilties, including the five springs, one reservoir and one pumping station with steel bolted tank.

Both Engr. Robert Cabiles (PrimeWater Area Head for Bicol) and Mr. Biff Bulanon (AWC Sorsogon Bulk Water Supply plant in-charge) acknowledged the very important role of Macabog, as community partner, in their respective messages during the short program prior to the distribution of food packs.

Punong Barangay Ronaldo 'Jeck Jeck' Laguidao thanked SCWD, AWC and PrimeWater for choosing Macabog as recipient of the outreach program, citing that the donations will surely have a significant impact in the lives of his constituents amid the on-going COVID pandemic.
